When you say hot westerlies Dan do you mean when air pressure is high. When choosing a color is there a general rule to follow

Towards late sept to dec it normally blows hot westerly winds this I have found brings on the surface bite from bream, whiting and others you wouldn't think

Colours I have found don't really matter and remember long pauses inbetween hops

I've used small poppers on whiting in the shallow sand flats which is really good fun but yet to try on the bream. What sort of area do you use them.
