Port Macquarie
« on: March 15, 2012, 06:07:20 PM »
Hi all,

This might be a bit of a long shot, but I'm looking at fishing around Port Macquarie and the Hastings River. I've only fished there once before, mainly along some man made structure/pontoons & jetties and some weedy beds near a highway bridge.

Can anybody suggest some other areas to target? I've been looking at Google Maps and I have seen "Big bay" which looks good aswell as limeburners creek.

Does anybody have any information on the marina and the surrounding canals? Do they hold fish?

Cheers & thank you
Dion.

the bank on north side from freeway bridge west with shallow divers, and weed beds and shallows straight across towards the rawdon island once you drift to the mouth of the creek from freeway. Good area with surface lures and shallow divers.
