1 piece rod conversion
« on: August 11, 2013, 07:46:22 PM »
Has anyone changed a 1 piece rod into 2 piece rod. I've got a 7ft rod I want to change to 2 piece for the only benefit of transporting. I don't know if this will change the action of it. It's a 1-3kg it's only a mid range rod,but I'd still like to know if it's worth doing.

Thanks

Personally I would not do it. You would probably loose 3 inches so one would slide into the other far enough for strength, and unless the cut section is reinforced somehow it would probably crack over time. basically I think you would wreck the rod.

Wellcome Sam
Thanks for your the advise,I know it was a long shot but i have a couple of crappy rods in the shed so I might have bit of a crack at it. If I get it done I'll let you know how it turns out.
